Parent Workshop

"When the game is over, I want your head up...and I know of only one way for your head to be up...and that's for you to know that you did your best...this means to do the best that you can do. That's the best; no one can do more...you made the effort." - John Wooden

A 90-minute parent education training is offered that complements the coach education training. The Parent Clinics seek to provide information for parents in order to instill proper modeling and communication skills regarding parent, coach, and athlete relationships. The training aims to empower parents with the tools necessary to create a healthy sport experience for their children.

The Parent Clinics cover the following topics:

  • Mission and purpose of youth sport
  • Creating a healthy sport experience for your child
  • Roles and responsibilities of parents
  • Communicating effectively with your child

To date, the AIA Academy has provided parent workshops for over 2,000 parents from partner youth sport organizations across the state of Arizona.

If you are interested in attending a Parent Clinic or having a Parent Clinic conducted at your organization, please contact us for more information.
